My name is Natalia Kusendova, and I running once again under the leadership of Doug Ford and the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party to be the Member of Provincial Parliament for Mississauga Centre.
Representing this riding over the last four years has been a distinct privilege for myself, and I am proud of the work done to ensure Mississauga is supported as it continues to grow as a world-class city.
From adding 844 beds for a total acute care bed capacity of 1,996 at Trillium Health Partners and strengthening long-term care infrastructure by building 993 additional beds and upgrading 511 existing ones, to securing $4.6 billion dollars of investments into the Hurontario LRT with an additional $51.5 million investment into 12 public transit projects across the city, to building two brand-new schools and securing a $20 million commitment to Peel Police to strengthen community safety in Peel Region alongside an additional $20 million in yearly funding for anti-human trafficking programs, our track record speaks for itself.
In my legislative work, I have championed causes important to members of our community, including introducing my Bill 105 at Queen’s Park proposing mandatory naloxone training for police and special constables, and my Motion on Linguistically Appropriate Care which reiterated the commitment of the government to linguistic accessibility in Ontario’s Long-Term Care sector in a way befitting of diverse patient care needs.
Above all, I am proud to have worked together alongside my colleagues and community partners to secure a bright future for our city, continuing to make it one of the best places in the world to live, work, and raise a family.
But our work does not stop here.
On June 2nd, I hope that I can count on the support of my friends and neighbours in this city that I have called home since I immigrated to this great country as a child.
Together, we can keep working hard for the city that we love.
